Dinner at the {Blue Water Grill}
Where can you go in NYC when you crave a mouthwatering fillet of fish topped with fresh vegetables from the market? None other but the Blue Water Grill in Union Square. Headed by Executive Chef Eric Woods with a delectable selection of seafood, sushi and fine wine, you won't be disappointed. Reservations were made to dine at the Jazz room which is located below the ground floor. We saw Kenny Brooks and his band play old R&B which is one of my favorite genres of music. The service was speedy fast, the food was not only visually stimulating but scrumptious, and the ambiance overall was casual and relaxing.
Ohh how much I love sipping on some good rosé wine!
Unfortuntaly I was so hungry that I forgot to take pics of the appetizers :(
For entrée, I had the Red Snapper marinated in extra virgin olive oil, lemon, garlic & capers.
served with broccoli rabe, sweet garlic, summer cherry tomato vinaigrette. My friend had the Sautéed Alaskan King Salmon with summer corn hash, heirloom tomatoes, and a mustard vinaigrette. For dessert I had the Crème Brûlée Tart with caramelized Tahitian vanilla bean custard, summer peach & blueberry compote, and peach sorbet. My friend had the Milk Chocolate Crunch Bar composed of German chocolate cake, creamy milk chocolate mousse, and cherry ripple ice cream.
I highly recommend you guys go to Blue Water Grill on Tuesdays and Thursday when they have live bands. Also, restaurant week has been extended till September 5th ( WOW, that is a lot of eating for me- I will be going to atleast 2 restaurants per week! LOL). They also have outside seating with a bunch of cuties from the finance world dining outside, just in case you are single and want to snatch one up...LOL! So please take advantage and go try some new restaurants around NYC. If you need any recommendations, let me know!
