Lounging at The Tides Coral Bar

I guess every week I am turning out with a Kelly Wearstler posting...can you really blame me though?  This decor and now fashion maven is everything I want to embody ten years from now!  While at the The Tides, we went to the Coral Bar to lounge and breathe some KWID design aroma.  This intimate jewel box bar is packed with an assortment of discrete details.  I had to really look carefully to try to find the different sea creatures that are camouflaged on the glass mural walls.  This private enclave has gold drum stools were used as tables with oyster colored pedestals.  The space is decorated with rusty reds and tan leathers and hints of gold and brass fixtures throughout.   It's the perfect bar to visit if you want to escape the touristy South Beach crowd and relax at a sleek and vibrant relaxed space. The Coral Bar is known for it's rum infused cocktails, so make sure you drink up and mingle with The Tides crowd.

When decorating a small space, it's better to just infuse it with tons of color so it can make a big statement.  Kelly it's an expert at this and seems to always make it work.

Take a look at the brass tiny fixtures in the ceiling just lighting the space with one bulb and the tiny coral color antique chairs next to the gold drum stools...these minute details just make me appreciate the space more.

Ocean Drive is like a light show at night and The Tides Hotel doesn't stay behind.

Here is the Console on our way to the restroom...the Rules of three never seem to fail. The mermaid sconces the the ladies room were a a nice detail with the juxtaposition of different marble stones covering the walls.

I still have tons more of Miami to show you guys, so please bare with me and keep checking!

xoxo,

Maurenice
