French Toast Heaven at {The Pink Pony Cafe}

 This past Sunday I wanted to escape and go to a whimsical place where I felt like I was back in Paris. I decided we should meet at

The Pink Pony Café Littéraire & Ciné Club

 for brunch.  This restaurant has been on my "Must Go To Spots" for a while as I have heard great things about the French Toast. Since yours truly has an obsession with French Toast, I was in total bliss. While my friends were sipping on coffee and mimosas all I wanted to do was indulge on my meal ...lol.

The place is romantic as it's decorated with lots of black and white pictures of movie stars and famous authors, love quotes written in script, hand painted portraits, and bookcases filled with tons of literature books, and shelves adored with knickknacks. The white painted tin ceilings were originals from when the building was built. The floor was concrete and it seems like it hasn't been painted in years as you can see different shades of greys, greens, and browns.

Our waitress was super attentive, friendly and super fast serving us our orders.

My friend Cristina and I about to indulge in our meals! It was five of us and three of us ordered the French Toast and the other two ordered the Eggs Florentine. For desert we decided to get the Crème brûlée.

My friend said the poached eggs were perfect with the spinach and the home fries were not overly seasoned. My yummy french Toast was made with baguette bread and sprinkled with powder sugar with a side of fresh fruits!

So I know for sure I will be going more often to the Pink Pony as I loved the French Toast. Maybe next time I will go for dinner and try the Steak au Poivre.  If you are around the Lower East Side or in NYC for the weekend, make sure to stop by at this French Cafe.  I highly recommend it :)

Now, if my French Prince is somewhere out there and is reading this... "Please hold me the forgotten way!"
