The Legend- Kelly Wearstler

Kelly Wearstler might be known as an over the top Interior Designer, but in my eyes she is a Legend! She has an amazing sense of flair and adventure in everything that she touches...to me, she has the Midas touch. She transforms the plainest rooms into a work of art. She encourages boldness and a strong sense of risk-taking in her surroundings. She is the mastermind behind the revival of the Hollywood Regency style with her ultra glamorous and eccentric mix of geometric prints, mirrored furniture, and amazing flea market finds. She scours the globe for idiosyncratic pieces that make her rooms like no other! She started

KWID

Kelly Wearstler Interior Design just at the tender age of 26 and has built it to be one of the most successful Interior Design and Architectural firms in America. She partners up with her husband hotelier and resort developer, Brad Korsen, owner of the Kor Group. She launched her fashion and jewelry line this past NYC Fashion week at Bergdorf Goodman and it will sell exclusively at BG's.

Last year, I went to the the book signing of her latest book "HUE" at ABC Carpet and Home which is also one of my favorite shops in NYC.  I was extremely shy, unprepared and underdressed to meet her. I look up to her a lot so I couldn't help but feel a little intimidated. We spoke for about 15 minutes and it was one of the best 15 minutes of my life...jejeje.

Here are some of my books that she signed...I had left the Domicilium Decoratus because it was kinda huge, But I got my other 2 signed by her...Thanks Kelly!

The hor d'oeuvres were delicious and very colorful like her book.

Upclose shot of oner of her pillows.

Chatting with the crowd as they went to get their books signed.

Beautiful arrangement of flowers.

Some of my favorite shots of her book "HUE"
