Hunting for Zebras

As a

KWID

lover and stalker that yours truly is, I had to

reblog

about Kelly's Scalamandré Zebra and Arrows print umbrella.  I have always been a big fan of

Scalamandré's Zebra

print and can't wait to use it on a client's powder room.

Kelly is always looking super chic...love that she uses an umbrella to protect her from the hot LA sun.

Scalamandré is one of the world’s most prestigious fabric houses worldwide and has been committed for 70 plus years to offer some of the most elegant array of fabrics, wallpapers, and trimmings. Scalamandré  textiles are often featured in the leading interior design projects and magazines.

The Zebra wallpaper is a legendary pattern by

Scalamandré

, originally created in the 1940's exclusively for Gino's, a New York City restaurant on Lexington Avenue, which was unavailable to purchase until the company finally released the pattern a few years back. You might recognize its red counterpart as the wallpaper from Margot Tenenbaum's bathroom in the film

The Royal Tenenbaums

. I am going to have to Netflix this movie and try to make some reservations at Gino's.  Have anyone one of you guys had dinner there?

I decided to play around in photoshop and come up with some color combos that would look chic in perhaps a small powder room.

Scalamandré, if you are reading this, please come up with more color options of this classic pattern.

Would you cover your walls with this print?  I sure would!

So what are you been in the hunt for lately?

xoxo
